Leah's House - a shelter for women and children
Why?
The Leah’s House Shelter will strive to teach needed skills and find ways to equip families to break the cycle of homelessness. It will target women and children to assist them in recognizing and appreciating their own self worth while continuing on the path to becoming productive members of the community.
· Locally, a structured therapeutic program is needed which will address the whole family.
· People need constructive use of their time through creative activities, youth/family programs and quality time at a place they can call home.
· Families/individuals need to
experience positive support in a
safe and caring environment.
· Families/individuals need organizations that provide services specifically designed to meet their needs and to motivate them to move from their circumstance.
